Kittatinny Award
At Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation, the Order of the Arrow offers the Kittatinny Award to encourage Scouts to experience all that summer camp has to offer. Offered only during the week they attend summer camp, all Scouts receive a green neckerchief. Throughout the week the Kittatinny Award challenges the Scouts to visit different camp activities to complete the award. Sortof like a scavenger hunt. Scouts must complete a certain number of activities and visit different parts of camp. It could be going shooting at the range, visiting handicraft to make a art project, visiting the lake for a paddle or taking a dip in the pool, taking a ride on the zip line and more. Once completed their neckercheif is stamped and they receive a patch! Over winter you can then have them embroidered. For more information on Kittatinny visit the OA website found here.
